We had been struggled by the robot for at least 1 month... finally today is THE DAY! the Robot Contest. then start from tomorrow we dont have to OT for the robot already... ^^

All the equitment was given by Toshiba. Included LEGO of the robot (http://mindstorms.lego.com/eng/Bangkok_dest/Default.aspx), laptop, the programming software, and the course that we had to run our robot. The aim of the contest was to build a robot which could follow the black line of the course provided. Then at the end, the robot have to move a can to at targeted area. The most accurate and fast robot will be the winner.

We were given one day per week (for 4 weeks) and OT from 5pm to 6.30pm to complete this task. I had to OT a lot because the robot didnt work very well. My programming skill.... eto..ne.... it takes time for me to do program!!! Kind a relief after today because the OT of the robot was a bit tiring.

Peggie lim, my lovely partner. Thanks for the hard work... Initially we wish to have our team photo with our daisukina robot, but the someone ruined it... :/ the one behind me... and one beside peggie... haiiiiiiiii 。。 hahaha....

Photo taken while waiting for the contest to be started...

friends from malaysia, indonesia, thailand, singapore, taiwan, india, china, macau and philipine.... we all are the 3rd batch of global emplyees of TOSHIBA, all came to Japan for `the feed of rice` at Oct/Nov 2008. through this contest, we are getting closer and closer. im going to miss those robot making times... especially the time when we were waiting for the turn for testing the robot, standing there and talked... or when we heard someone from Indonesia (問題点の人) laugh in very special way, we just could not helped it and laughed together... or when testing the robot, you will heard `sumimasen`/ sorry/excuseme eventhough you just standing beside the table of the robot track(because the ultrasonic sensor the beig used)... ^^
